ESOS IQ POLICY

Deletion Policy

Authenticated deletion removes eligible personal access without silently destroying shared custody, audit or lawfully retained records.

Last updated 28 August 2026

1. Request and confirmation

A signed-in user can make an authenticated request after recent reauthentication. The request receives a traceable reference and its status can be followed through support.

2. Custody and retention checks

  • Shared Team ownership and last-administrator protection.
  • Evidence case ownership, assignment and custody transfer.
  • Open billing, fraud, security, legal or retention holds.
  • Audit evidence required to prove the request and outcome.

3. Completion

Eligible login, profile and personal workspace data are removed or anonymised through the controlled deletion process. Underlying official public records are not personal account data and are not deleted. The outcome records what was removed, what remains, its lawful reason and the recovery boundary.

4. Status and support

The authenticated request status is shown in Settings. Privacy support can explain a recorded custody or retention hold without exposing another user’s workspace information. No unsupported retention period is implied here.
