METHOD BOUNDARY
Three official Phase 3 publication types
The current commercial evidence layer covers Environment Agency ESOS Compliance Notifications, Action Plans and Progress Updates. Each source file is retained with retrieval metadata, a SHA-256 checksum, schema fingerprint, row reconciliation and an official link where available.

ESOS IQ is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Environment Agency or UK Government. Official ESOS records are participant-supplied and are not verified by the Environment Agency as proof of compliance.
Quality, anomalies and original values
Raw values remain available beside each interpretation. Deterministic checks flag invalid or missing company numbers, duplicates, apparent test records, implausible savings, date ranges, broken links and contradictory progress answers.
Severe anomalies are excluded from aggregate views by default, while the original declaration and exclusion reason remain inspectable.
Taxonomy and plan-to-progress linkage
A versioned deterministic taxonomy records category, subcategory, rule, confidence and provenance while preserving original measure wording and correction history.
Exact official identifiers are preferred for plan-to-progress linkage. Normalised or token-based candidates remain confidence-scored and are never presented as exact without governed acceptance.
Evidence filters and ordering
Find uses user-selected source fields such as reported measure, timing, progress, saving, completeness, source freshness, change date and organisation.
These transparent filters organise reported evidence; they do not create a proprietary score or prove commercial intent.
Organisation identity and enrichment
Exact official identifiers take precedence. Secondary name, postcode, address, domain, sector and time-based evidence must be deterministic, quality-scored and reviewable. Unresolved candidates do not affect filters or aggregates.
Sources described for possible future enrichment are not active unless a customer page identifies them as currently available. Protected address fields, personal-contact fields and complete third-party source corpora are not delivered to browsers.
Explainable indicators
Estate scale, procurement activity, funding evidence, capital-capacity evidence, regulatory exposure, source recency, evidence completeness and group relevance remain separate facts. ESOS IQ does not collapse them into a proprietary commercial score.
- A procurement notice is not a procurement probability.
- A grant is not proof of current budget.
- A filing is not a credit assessment.
- Missing coverage is not evidence that an activity or property does not exist.
